Why the M9 Holster Still Holds Up

A lot of modern holsters focus heavily on appearance, but the older M9 Beretta holster setups were designed around actual field use.

One reason military holsters for the M9 platform are still popular is simple: retention and durability. They’re built to securely carry a full-size sidearm while handling movement, rough conditions, and long-term use.

Another advantage is compatibility with modular gear setups. Many military holsters integrate easily with belts, MOLLE systems, and field kits without needing complicated attachments.

The M9 platform may not be the newest sidearm system out there, but reliable gear doesn’t become useless just because trends change.

Good equipment is still good equipment.
